Delicious!

OK, OK, I keep ranting about our bread but it is really good! Just ask Amparo and Sandra, our guest workers from Spain, they’ll tell you just how good this bread really is. They’ll also tell you that Spain just won the World Cup plus Spaniards winning the Tour de France and Wimbledon. Not a

A Baguette with Flair

As if the plain baguettes weren’t good enough, these fresh-out-of-the-oven wonders are fantastic! It seems like the bakers are getting more creative all the time.  I attribute it to the weather now that summer is finally here.  Warm weather= hot, new ideas!

Viva la Pizza Night

Lotsa people, lotsa pizza and lotsa fun this past Wednesday. Considering it was the first night “out of the chute” so to speak, we fared well enough to say let’s do it again.

Next Wednesday will be special as Old School House Brewery will offer a selection of their awesome beers for

The Goat serves outside now!

Ice cream!!  Gimme ice cream!!   It’s the cry we’re hearing on this 4th of July weekend as we put the finishing touches on our outdoor service counter.   As expected,  it didn’t take long for a line to form. It’s easy to see why- Husky ice cream by the scoop, in a milk shake, or a sundae…ummmm, good.   Ice tea and other homemade drinks

The Goat is a little late reporting on something that happened at the end of April, but here goes-

During a brief respite between seasons we ventured to SW Utah for a little rest and relaxation. While there, we found that the Goat was revered by the local natives, so much so that they left detailed petroglyphs

Itchin for hitchin’

Marc and “little Mary” came to the store and they were the first customers to “pony up to the bar” and use our brand new hitching post. Designed by veteran horseman and all around cowboy, Tom Graves, this post is a valued addition to the store. The Goat likes horses and adding the

Kitchen Talk

We’re often asked what the bakers talk about when they’re busy baking up goodies in the kitchen. Well, on this particular Sunday they were excited about the new industrial size cuisinart that the Goat recently purchased. It does everything the old one does but instead of measuring batches by the ounce or pound, it does

Aliens!!!

Aliens were encountered at the Mazama Store on Friday- 6/5. They appeared friendly enough however there was real concern that our cookies were in jeopardy every time they caught sight of a delicious Mazamazon! After staying for roughly four hours and observing our activities, they left in peace.

May the force be with you!

Ski to Sea HS Champs

The lads did it again! Our intrepid crew of local athletes sponsored by the Goat defended their 2009 title as High School champions in the grueling Ski to Sea race in Bellingham.  Given the number of elite teams entered, their 39th place is highly respectable.  Not bad considering there are 416 teams entered!

Remember

Today we honor those who died defending our country and our way of life. Memorial Day is just that, a day to remember those who gave their lives to maintain the freedoms we enjoy today. We should always remember these Americans for what they did and what they gave, making the ultimate
