Sustainability at the Store
We realize that as a business, we have the power to sway purchasing choices. A consumer’s use of their dollar is the most powerful statement one can make. It’s hard to research EVERY product you want to buy, so we’re trying hard to bring you options we feel good about.
Ways we’re trying to cut down on waste at the store:
Cutting out plastic bottles when alternatives are available.
Why? Because plastic can’t be continuously recycled. Its lifespan can only be down cycled, meaning it loses volume and quality during its renewal process. Glass and Aluminum can be continuously recycled, producing the same product again and again. Aluminum and glass have higher recycle values, making them more likely to be recycled by consumers.
Offering more items in bulk:
We’ve recently updated and expanded our bulk offerings to include oils and vinegars. Bring in your own empty container or purchase one of our new glass swing top bulk bottles and fill up!
Reducing packaging:
We are also making an effort to purchase products that come with little to no packaging and recyclable packaging. Check out our new bath and body products, cleaning supplies and detergents in bulk!
