Willowbrook Farm
Meet Cameron Green and Eric Wittenbach, the proud owners of Willowbrook Farm in Carlton, WA. Nestled into the hillside, overlooking the Methow River, Willowbrook Farm is home to all things beautiful and delicious. Their home and production center sits below several acres of lush, fertile soil and one large greenhouse. The garden plots are packed with row after row of kale, cabbage, spinach, beets, carrots, tomatoes, and fresh herbs.
When we came to visit in the Fall, they were just wrapping up another successful growing season. The last of the tomatoes were being harvested, while squash and pumpkins were stacked on the porch, clean and neatly organized according to variety and size. Beets were being plucked from the earth and cleaned of dirt before being stored away for the Farmer’s Market.
Looking back on our wild summer, full of drought and fire, it was hard not to feel infinitely grateful standing on Cameron and Eric’s porch surveying such a beautiful scene. This farm provides us with more than just nutrients. We are the lucky recipients of a cultivation of love, sweat and breathtaking beauty. The Methow Valley is a unique and wonderful place, where the farm down the road is more than just a quaint looking homestead. It's full of life and hard work producing the goodness of the land wherein it lies.
When you’re in the store next, ask our lovely produce managers Madelyn and Hannah what we have from Willowbrook Farm. They would be happy to show you what's in season and help you with your purchase.
