How Does Your Garden Grow?
Spring is the season of rebirth and rejuvenation. As the days lengthen, the winter snowpack begins to melt, covering the valley floor in wildflowers and greenery. Business at the store slows, giving employees and managers a much needed rest. We use this downtime to chip away at projects and prep for the summer. While most of these projects include tasks centered around cleaning and organizing, the outdoor patio brings a different sort of challenge: gardening.
If your garden looks anything like ours in the spring, it seems a mountainous and foreboding task to take on. Thank goodness we've planned ahead for you, ordering all the essentials to make those long hours in the garden a little easier. Time to dig out the soaker hoses, garden spade and wheelbarrow from the shed and get those hands dirty!
Check out some of our favorite companies and products we’ll be carrying this Spring:
Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds
With over 1800 rare heirloom varieties to choose from, Baker Creek Seeds is our go to when shopping seeds. We carefully hand pick through their catalog, bringing you the best selection possible. All seeds are non-hybrid, non-GMO, non-treated and non-patented.
Okanogan Producers Marketing Association
We love these guys! Not only do they supply us with fabulous produce throughout the year, but every spring they bring us fresh starts. All organic, non-GMO, local and grown in sunny Okanogan, we can’t get enough. They handpick varieties, taking great care to choose what grows well and produces in our climate. From tomato, pepper and eggplant to fresh herb starts, planning out your garden plot just got easier.
